The CEOs and other senior leaders from ten Baldrige-winning organizations, including six healthcare providers, were interviewed individually for this whitepaper. They reviewed, corrected and expanded on their initial answers during the development of the themes that were identified. Two of the CEOs also added their personal advice to other senior leaders on how and why to use the Baldrige model to lead an organization.

The insights on how the senior leaders of these Baldrige recipients led their organizations to the achievement of performance excellence are contained in the whitepaper. Their collective guidance details how they created a culture and climate of support and responsiveness for all customers/patients/students and other stakeholders. In addition, the methods used to accomplish continuous process improvement through an ongoing program of performance measurement evidence-based analysis are described.
